The Silver Knights defeated the Coachella Valley Firebirds, 6-2, on Thursday night at Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, CA.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
In his first game back from injury, Jakub Brabenec opened the scoring from Mitch McLain to give the Silver Knights an early 1-0 lead. Moments later Oskar Fisker Mølgaard would tie the game at 1-1. 30-seconds later Trevor Connelly would retake the lead, followed shortly by Jeremy Davies to extend the lead to 3-1. At 18:51 of the first, Raphael Lavoie would win a scramble in front of the net to make it 4-1. Seconds later, Mitchell Stephens would cap a six-goal opening period and send the teams into the break sitting at 4-2. At 8:26 of the second, Matyas Sapovaliv would find a streaking Jackson Hallum to make it 5-2. In the latter stages of the period, Lavoie would net his second of the game, making it 6-2 for Henderson. Following a scoreless third period, the Silver Knights jumped on the bus back to Henderson with a 6-2 victory.

The Silver Knights will now head home to Lee’s Family Forum for a weekend series with the Colorado Eagles this Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, February 28, the Silver Knights will host the annual Guns-N-Hoses game between Las Vegas Police and Fire Departments.
