LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN: SILVER KNIGHTS NOTCH SEVENTH STRAIGHT WIN, SCORE SEVEN GOALS AGAINST CANUCKS

The Henderson Silver Knights won their seventh straight game, a franchise record, after defeating the Abbotsford Canucks 7-3 on Sunday evening in Abbotsford.

HOW IT WENT DOWN

Ben Hemmerling scored the game’s first goal from Jonas Rondbjerg and Tanner Laczynski, giving Henderson a 1-0 lead at the 8:32 mark of the first. Abbotsford’s Joseph LeBate tied the game on the power play late in the first, sending the teams into the intermission tied 1-1. LeBate scored his second power play goal of the night halfway through the second to give the Canucks a 2-1 lead. Raphael Lavoie tied the game at 2-2 on a power play goal at 10:41 of the second. Seven minutes later, Jackson Hallum retook the lead for Henderson, 3-2, on a pass from Tuomas Uronen. In the early stages of the third, Mitch McLain scored his first goal of the year to give Henderson a 4-2 lead. Soon after, Jeremy Davies bumped the lead up to 5-2 when he found the back of the net for the first time this season. Uronen scored in his third straight game when he gave Henderson a 6-2 lead late in the third. Lukas Cormier added to the Henderson lead late in the game to make it 7-2. The Canucks’ Bobby Berard tacked on a late goal to make the final score 7-3.
