The Henderson Silver Knights defeated the Colorado Eagles, 4-2, Saturday evening at Lee’s Family Forum.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
The Silver Knights kicked off the scoring in the first period with a power play goal from Kai Uchacz with help from Mitch McLain and Lukas Cormier. The Colorado Eagles bounced back almost exactly a minute later with a goal of their own from Keaton Middleton. The teams ended the first 1-1.
Tanner Laczynski got Henderson their second goal of the game six minutes into the second period. The battle continued for another seven minutes and Henderson’s Ben Hemmerling scored the team’s second power play goal of the contest. The second period came to an end with HSK up 3-1.
Colorado’s Jayson Megna was able to get one in the net 14 minutes into the third. The Silver Knights responded with their fourth goal of the night, courtesy of Hemmerling. The final score was 4-2.
