The Henderson Silver Knights defeated the Abbotsford Canucks, 6-1, on Saturday night at Abbotsford Centre.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Henderson took a 2-0 lead in the latter stages of the first period from two power play goals scored 41 seconds apart. The first a deflection by Tanner Lacsynski from Jeremy Davies, and the second by Braeden Bowman from Kai Uchacz and Lukas Cormier. With six seconds remaining in the first, Braeden Bowman scored the third power play goal of the period for Henderson. Tuomas Uronen increased the Silver Knights lead to 4-0 part way through the second. Once again on the power play, Kai Uchacz scored to make it 5-0 Silver Knights. Uchacz’s goal also set a new franchise record for power play goals in a game with four. Ty Mueller scored Abbotsford’s lone goal of the game at the 14:07 mark of the third period. Tuomas Uronen notched Henderson’s sixth and final goal of the evening in the final ten minutes of the frame.
The Silver Knights have won their last six games.
