SILVER KNIGHTS DEFEATED BY CANUCKS, 4-2

The Henderson Silver Knights fell, 4-2, to the Abbotsford Canucks on Saturday night at Lee’s Family Forum.

HOW IT WENT DOWN

With two minutes remaining in the first period, Tuomas Uronen’s first AHL goal gave Henderson a 1-0 lead. Four minutes into the middle period, Raphael Lavoie scored his first goal of the season to double the Silver Knight’s lead to 2-0. 24 seconds later, Abbotsford’s Joseph LaBate brought the Henderson lead back to a single goal. Near the end of the second period, Max Sasson tied the game for the Canucks at 2-2. Mackenzie MacEachern and Nils Aman each scored for the Canucks in the third to give them a 4-2 lead. The Abbotsford victory was secured after Henderson failed to score on a lengthy 6-on-5.

LOOKING AHEAD

The Silver Knights will soon head out on their first road trip of the year, playing the Ontario Regin on Friday, October 17 and then the San Deigo Gulls on Saturday, October 18. The Silver Knights will return to Henderson on Friday, October 24 to play the Gulls at 7 p.m. On October 25, the Silver Knights will have their Knightmare on Ice presented by Travel Nevada.
