The Henderson Silver Knights fell, 5-2, to the San Jose Barracuda on Wednesday evening at Lee’s Family Forum.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
The Barracuda got on the board late in the first period with a goal from Cagnoni. Poturalski then doubled their lead with just nine seconds left in the frame.
San Jose scored on the power play to increase their lead to three just over halfway through the second period. Dysin Mayo answered back a minute later to give the Silver Knights their first goal of the game. Gage Quinney was credited with the assist for finding Mayo waiting just above the circle. The Barracuda scored with under five minutes to play in the second period to extend their lead back to three.
San Jose got their fifth goal of the night halfway through the third period. Matyas Sapovaliv was able to find the loose puck and fire it into the back of the net after a shot by Braeden Bowman couldn’t be corralled, giving Henderson their second goal of the night.
