The Henderson Silver Knights were defeated by the Coachella Valley Firebirds, 4-3, at Lee’s Family Forum on Friday night.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
With 27.7 seconds remaining in the first period Dylan Coghlan put Henderson on the scoreboard with a power play goal. The Firebirds followed up with a goal from Jani Nyman two minutes into the second period. Coghlan found his second power play goal of the game halfway through the period. Jeremy Davies collected an assist on the goal, marking his 200th career AHL point. Coachella found the back of the net twice more in the period giving them their first lead of the game. Ben Hemmerling briefly tied the score one more time to start the third, but a goal from Andrei Loshko secured the Coachella victory.
