The Silver Knights fell to the Tucson Roadrunners, 4-2, at Tucson Arena on Friday evening. Forward Tanner Laczynski extended his points streak, tallying his ninth point (1G, 8A) in his last five games.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Christoffer Sedoff got the Silver Knights off to another quick start with a goal less than a minute into the game. Brendan Brisson and Laczynski both earned an assist on the play.
Former Silver Knight DiLiberatore scored at 4:38 in the second period to tie the game at one.
McCartney added a power-play goal to give the Roadrunners their first lead of the evening midway through the final frame.
McCartney then scored on the empty net to put Tucson up 3-1 with 1:57 left in regulation.
Jakub Brabenec, assisted by Jake Bischoff, brought Henderson back within one just 35 seconds later.
Sokolov added another empty netter to secure a 4-2 victory for the Roadrunners.
Goaltender Carl Lindbom stopped 26 of 28 shots on goal, earning a .929 save percentage, his highest of the season.
