SILVER KNIGHTS FIND LUCK AGAINST CANUCKS, 4-3

The Henderson Silver Knights defeated the Abbotsford Canucks, 4-3, Saturday evening at Lee’s Family Forum.

HOW IT WENT DOWN

Nearly halfway through the first period the Silver Knights put themselves on the board with a goal by Trevor Connelly, his fourth in the past two games. The Abbotsford caught up at the two minute mark when Ty Mueller, assisted by Nikolai Knyzhov and Lukas Reichel, buried one in the net, bringing the score to 1-1.

Victor Mancini, aided by Nils Aman and Jujhar Khaira, gave Abbotsford their second goal just under eight minutes into the second, ending the period 2-1.

The third started off strong with Matyas Sapovaliv scoring off an assist from Connelly and Lukas Cormier just two minutes in, and Abbotsford’s Jett Woo responding two minutes later. Sapovaliv followed up with his second power play goal of the period, again from an assist off Connelly and Cormier. Ultimately, the Silver Knights came out on top with a fourth and final goal by Jackson Hallum in the final seconds of the period. The final score was 4-3.
