The Henderson Silver Knights defeated the Coachella Valley Firebirds, 2-1, at Lee’s Family Forum on Wednesday night. The Silver Knights have now won six of their last seven games on home ice. 

 

HOW IT WENT DOWN

 

Coachella Valley’s Ryan Winterton scored the lone goal of the first period seven minutes into the contest.

 

At the mid-way point of the second period Mitch McLain would score his 13th goal of the season. Braeden Bowman and Kai Uchacz would pick up the assists.

 

Two minutes later Uchacz would give the Silver Knights the lead on a powerplay goal from Jake Bischoff and Alexander Holtz.

 

Goaltender Carl Lindbom stopped 31 of 32 shots on goal, including 13 of 13 in the third period, to secure a 2-1 Silver Knights victory.
