HENDERSON (February 9, 2022) – Vegas Knight Hawks General Manager and Head Coach Mike Davis announced today, February 9, his coaching staff for the team’s inaugural season. The Knight Hawks will kick off their first Indoor Football League (IFL) campaign on Friday, March 18, at The Dollar Loan Center.
Offensive Coordinator Pat Pimmel began his IFL coaching career in 2007 and has since coached the River City Rage, the Omaha Beef, the Nebraska Danger, and the Allen Wranglers. Pimmel also coached the Orlando Predators during his time in the Arena Football League (AFL). This will be the Missouri native’s fourth season working with Davis.
Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Line Coach Kyle Moore-Brown spent 15 seasons in the AFL where he played on both the offensive and defensive lines. An Arena Football Hall of Fame inductee, Moore-Brown earned two AFL championship titles, was named to the All-Ironman team three times and set the record for playing in 236 consecutive AFL games. Moore-Brown began coaching in 2010 with the La Crosse Spartans and joined the Cedar Rapids Titans in 2012. The New Jersey native also managed the Jersey Flight of the IFL.
Defensive Line Coach Arpedge Rolle brings more than 18 years of experience to the Knight Hawks. Rolle is the owner and head coach of Five Star Linemen Academy, which trains some of the best collegiate and professional linemen in the country. As a high school defensive coordinator and defensive line coach, Rolle won district, league, and section championship titles. Rolle has coached several NFL, all-conference and All-American linemen who have been and continue to be successful at the high school, collegiate and professional levels.
Defensive Backs and Special Teams Coach Adrian Davis spent the past four seasons at Buena Vista University, part of an extensive coaching background at the high school, collegiate and professional levels. An All-IFL selection as a player who also spent time with the St. Louis Rams, Davis coached the IFL’s Nebraska Danger after starting his coaching career in high school. The Texas native was a three-year starting defensive lineman for the University of Arkansas.
Wide Recievers Coach Tysson Poots grew up in Henderson before moving east to play football for Southern Utah University. There, Poots was a three-time All-American and was inducted into the SUU Sports Hall of Fame. He played in the NFL and flourished in the AFL, earning two Arena Bowl championships and being named a top 25 player in the league. Currently, Poots is a sports performance specialist and coach at the Game Changers Sports Academy.
Defensive Assistant Terrance Carter enters his first year of coaching after a successful playing career. Carter played collegiately at Colorado State before he joined the AFL in 2006. From 2006 through 2015, Carter played for the Los Angeles Avengers, the Tulsa Talons, the Pittsburgh Power, the Orlando Predators, the San Jose SaberCats and the Las Vegas Outlaws.
