VEGAS (NOVEMBER 19, 2021) – Vegas Knight Hawks General Manager and Head Coach Mike Davis announced today, November 19, the signing of six players to their roster.

Linebacker Gabriel McCoy spent his 2021 campaign in the IFL with the Iowa Barnstormers. As a first-year pro, McCoy recorded 29 total tackles and an interception. He played four seasons at UNLV where he also served as a team captain in 2018 and 2019. In 48 games played with the Rebels, he tallied 168 total tackles, seven sacks and an interception. McCoy played in every game of his college career.

Quarterback Jorge Reyna played his collegiate career at Fresno St from 2018-19. The former Fresno St captain threw for 15 TD’s along with 2,766 yards through the air in his time there. Reyna also added 264 rushing yards in 2019.

Wide Receiver KD Cannon had a decorated career at Baylor from 2014-16. He was a 2017 NFL scouting combine participant along with being named Motel 6 Cactus Bowl MVP, 2016 All-Big 12 First Team and 2014 Freshman All-American. Throughout his Baylor tenure, he recorded 187 receptions for 2,916 yards.

Former Nebraska standout Safety Antonio Reed played 47 games with the Cornhuskers and notched 118 tackles, three interceptions and a sack. In 2017, Reed was named to Brook Berringer Citizenship Team and Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

Running back Traveon Samuel spent time with Louisville, Troy and Memphis while playing both running back and wide receiver in college. The Dallas native racked up 1,883 all-purpose yards from 2015-2019 playing in college.

After playing a season at Chaffey College, Kai Higgins transferred to Purdue University where he played from 2017-19. In 36 games played, the defensive end totaled 50 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions.

The Knight Hawks are expected to continue building their roster prior to the start of their inaugural season. The team will take the field for the first time at The Dollar Loan Center in March 2022.
