The Henderson Silver Knights fell to the Calgary Wranglers, 6-4, at Lee’s Family Forum on Saturday night.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Calgary Wranglers started the scoring off early, with a goal by Martin Frk. The Henderson Silver Knights changed the scoreboard with a power play goal by Raphael Lavoie from Trevor Connelly and Lukas Cormier. With 5:42 remaining in the first, Calgary retook the lead, 2-1, on a goal from Justin Kirkland.
Henderson started off the second period with a slapshot goal by Dylan Coghlan to tie the game 2-2. Jonas Rondbjerg then gave the Silver Knights the lead, assisted by Viliam Kmec and Jeremy Davies. Shortly after, William Stromgren brought the score back to a tie. With 10:22 remaining, Daniil Miromanov gave Calgary back the lead, 4-3. Calgary’s Matvei Gridin extended the lead to 5-3. Tuomas Uronen scored with 1:59 remaining in the second period to make it 5-4 at the intermission.
With 27 seconds left, Martin Frk placed it in the net for Calgary. The final score was 6-4, Wranglers.
